Tasks
Responsibilities & Outcomes
• Analyze technical problems and isolate the source causing the problem, working in own lab environment to reproduce the issue
• Deliver remedy or restoration to problems reported by business (e.g. through a Customer Service Requests, CSR)
• Execute installation, upgrade and/or configuration of a system
• Support and execute deployment activities in own lab or network environment (using a business-like environment)
• Provide support to deployment project and have the ability to work with third party vendors
• Support IT Escalation Management by communicating the performance, updates or changes of the service
• Analyze requirements to understand how the introduction of new features/ functions can impact the existing product
• Produce a test plan: test a product, test tool design, test environment design, test result analysis, test analysis/design
• Design components and modules for products and services
• Specify, develop, set up and maintain a designated environment
• Perform verification analysis
• Integrate SW, HW modules: define, follow and manage integration plan
• Create and maintain integration strategy
• Perform reviews and system design
• Configuration management; handle code/product versions and revision management systems
• Manage third party products as part of the design solution
• Maintain architecture for products, solutions or systems
• Have impact on technology related issues within a product area
• Initiate and drive improvements and innovation
• Identify opportunities for automation within the whole delivery
• Collaborate with other business units to understand how automation can improve workflow
• Identify vulnerabilities and risks at a very early stage
• Incorporate security checks in all stages of the software development workflow
• Ensure data protection in transit and at rest
• Assure the data integrity and GDPR alignment (where applicable)
• Develop domain specific technical competence, as defined for the individual position
• Actively share and re-use knowledge as an integrated part of the daily work, in order to develop competence
• Identifies operational problems and priorities by observing and studying system functioning and performance results
• Provide technical expertise when demands are raised
• Acts as a mentor and coach for colleagues
• Document design, plan and write Product Information
• Propose product evolution
• Get involved, participate and drive major IT incidents when needed, work closely with IT Escalation Manager
Required Role: CMDB & Asset Management Specialist
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain the CMDB structure and governance model
• Lead or support the configuration and optimization of Discovery tools (e.g., BMC Discovery, ServiceNow Discovery, SCCM, etc.)
• Ensure accurate population and ongoing synchronization of CI data, including relationships and dependencies
• Define and enforce data quality standards and reconciliation rules
• Support integration of CMDB with ITSM, AIOps, and asset management systems
• Facilitate audits, compliance checks, and configuration lifecycle reporting
Expectations
Desired Skills:
• Proven experience with industry-standard CMDB platforms (e.g., BMC Helix CMDB, ServiceNow CMDB)
• Hands-on expertise in automated discovery tools and integrations
• Strong understanding of CI types, relationships, and lifecycle management
• Experience in asset lifecycle management, license tracking, and hardware/software inventories
• Knowledge of data normalization, reconciliation, and federated data sources
• Familiarity with ITIL/ITSM processes and CMDB governance frameworks
