Introduction
Our partner is a well-established chemical manufacturing company operating in Budapest since 1930 and specializing in epoxy resin production. 97% of its products are exported. The company became part of a major German chemical group three years ago but continues to operate independently, with its budget and significant decision-making autonomy as the group's epoxy specialist.
Tasks
Financial Management & Controlling
- First point of contact for all financial matters of the Business Unit "Speciality Products"
- Lead the small accounting team (chief accountant + assistant), ensuring their professional and personal development
- Create and continuously enhance internal reporting for the Budapest site in close cooperation with Group Controlling
- Actively support digitalization efforts through reporting improvements and data structuring
- Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide actionable recommendations
- Oversee budget planning, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance
- Ensured adherence to Hungarian tax/accounting regulations and group-wide finance policies
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities and timely data delivery to Bruno Bock Holding
- Lead and support the implementation of a group-wide data warehouse system
- Coordinate payroll-related processes in collaboration with external providers
- Participate in ad hoc financial analysis, controlling tasks, and data validation
HR & Administrative Support
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement initiatives
- Maintained employee records, contracts, and HR documentation in compliance with Hungarian labor law
- Act as the first point of contact for site-level HR-related inquiries
- Ensure compliance with both local labor regulations and the group’s HR policies
- Support local and global HR projects, including training activities
- Provide regular HR reporting data to the parent company
Expectations
- University degree in finance, economics, or a related field
- At least 5-8 years of professional experience in finance; leadership experience is a plus
- Strong controlling mindset and analytical skills
- Fluent English (written and spoken) for business communication
- Excellent communication skills, flexibility, and a proactive attitude
- Strong stakeholder management and conflict resolution abilities
- Experience with ERP systems (Blending and/or SAP preferred)
