Tasks

An IT system specialist is a professional responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and support of information technology systems within an organization. Their role involves understanding the specific needs and requirements of the organization and then designing and configuring IT systems to meet those needs efficiently and effectively. IT system specialists may specialize in various areas such as Cloud/Azure, SF CRM, SFMC, SF Data Cloud, Mobile, Data. They are typically skilled in troubleshooting and problem-solving to ensure that IT systems operate smoothly and securely. Additionally, they may provide technical support to users, participate in squad work to provide their expertise in feature development. The Azure System Specialist will work collaboratively with IT teams as well as 3rd party suppliers to design, build, operate and monitor our Azure based solutions, as well as help automate and streamline our processes in a framework of DevOps methodology.

  • Collaborate in designing the best possible cloud applications based on Azure native and custom built components
  • Build, operate and monitor Cloud native and Cloud related applications/solutions with an end-to end view
  • Develop best practices for cloud management, including automation scripts to simplify processes
  • Create and share operational requirements and Azure best-practices with internal and external development teams and enforce compliance
  • Routinely perform application maintenance tasks, evaluating performance issues, developing recommendations, troubleshooting and fixing issues in collaboration with IT teams and 3rdparties
  • Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience. Use built-in and3rd party monitoring tools (incl. Azure Monitor, AppDynamics)
  • Adopt 'Automation of everything' as a key, ground-up design principle, help transitioning toward IaaC operation
  • Support cost management and usage optimization in Digital Factory’s Azure resources
  • Manage tools in our DevOps framework (incl. Azure DevOps services organization, Sonar Cloud, Appium, Selenium, JMeter and Postman test tools, Jira and Confluence), promote DevOps methodology and participate in expanding and solidifying toolset
  • Manage and execute SQL tasks related Azure environment
  • Willingness to adapt and master new technologies

Expectations

  • Proven experience in operating Microsoft Azure-based systems
  • Working knowledge of Azure services such as Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, and Azure SQL
  • Well-versed in DevOps and CI/CD Pipelines
  • Retail domain knowledge is a plus, but not mandatory
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with a can-do attitude
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks in parallel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum 2 years of operations/development experience with Microsoft Azure technologies, with profound knowledge of Azure Compute, Storage, Database, and Identity management solutions
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with SQL development and maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of PowerShell and Azure CLI tools
  • Proven knowledge of working with version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and automation technologies
  • In-depth experience in building cloud-native solutions, both backend and frontend components
  • Candidates with hands-on experience with MSSQL will have a clear advantage
  • Proven experience in working in an agile, fast-paced environment across multiple projects
  • Experience working in a multinational, enterprise environment
