Tasks
The Senior IT Test Manager is part of our digital engineering team who is responsible for the advancement of digital businesses and their supporting technologies and contribution towards key business decisions on both a functional and technical level. The Senior IT Test Manager is responsible for the overall test strategy of our multi-country, multi-platform technology stack. The role is responsible for the test team leadership, test design, planning and execution in line with the company's testing requirements to increase the overall development, testing quality and for defining the directions of the test automation on our existing automation framework.
- Test Strategy: Own, enhance, continuously develop, and implement a comprehensive test and release strategy for Digital Factory (DF), considering the specific requirements of multi-country, multi-platform custom mobile applications and salesforce backend systems
- Test Environment Management: Collaborate with the Digital Engineering team and System integrator teams to set up and maintain the DF test environments
- Coordinate, manage and supervise the testing activity (for the whole IT testing lifecycle), in terms of composing and performing test scenarios, recording the results and defects, manage and supervise the corrections and accept the results
- Determine the most appropriate testing approaches for complex projects or programs within the constraints and operational requirements of the organization
- Manual Testing: Lead and mentor a team of manual testers, providing guidance and support throughout the testing lifecycle. Foster a collaborative and high-performance testing environment
- Test Automation: Act as Product Owner to define the appropriate use case for test automation in the DF overall testing process. Design and maintain automated test scripts for efficient and reliable mobile application testing across different countries and platforms. Leverage your expertise in test automation tools and best practices to drive efficiency and effectiveness
- Lead a test automation development team who are responsible for the framework and pipeline developments for the automated tests
- Participate in projects in professional execution of Test design, planning and execution in line with Testing requirements for all test phases - unit, system, integration and functional testing and acceptance with the help of DevOps Engineers
- Act as a knowledge base for test support tools (Spira, Jira, Confluence, Selenium, Allure) and support users in the related processes
- Participate in DF squads / projects as test manager and ensure that all required testing deliverables are created including testing approach, testing scenarios, conditions and expected results, test scripts and testing control sheets
- Drive that the DF delivery and implementation process is fully in line with the test and release strategy and predefined testing processes are kept and controlled
- Participate and maintain Quality Assurance processes with dedicated attention to proper and upto-date documentation
- Define test team KPIs, track and maintain them
- Assure that test documentation is prepared and kept updated
- Coordinate the communication between different parties regarding testing related topics, cooperate closely with Business, IT teams and Project Managers both internal and external
- Build the test community, review test tools, frameworks, test standards and procedures to optimize test delivery
Expectations

- Minimum 3 years of experience working as a Test Manager in agile environments
- Minimum 10 years of experience in IT industry
- Experience of testing native mobile application, Salesforce stacks in a Retail environment desirable
- Experience in testing of Azure services-based solutions
- Experience in multivendor environment
- Experience in remote vendor management – working with foreign vendor
- Extensive knowledge of agile & devops approaches, processes, and tools with a proven track record in implementation and adoption
- Local, near- and offshore Team-management experience, contract management and negotiation experience.
- Experience in tailoring communications and content for a wide range of stakeholders from senior management till hands-on engineers
- Strong understanding of test methodologies, test tools, and frameworks for mobile application and backend testing
- Defect/bug management and familiarity with defect management tools (Spira, JIRA etc.)
- Extensive experience in developing and executing test automation scripts using industry-leading tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Rest Assured)
- Process and control oriented, engineering mindset, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail
